In regard to CS Professional Suite applications, access denied errors can present themselves in a number of different ways, such as installing the application, applying updates, opening the application, etc.
The access denied error may reference a specific path or file. For example,
- "Access to C:\Wincsi\Licenses was denied"
- "Access is denied: source file... cscabsv.dll"
To resolve access denied errors, try one of the following:
- Reboot the workstation.
- If possible, attempt to duplicate the behavior from another workstation.
- On network installations, have all users close the application. Then, close open files on the server. For instructions, see CS Professional Suite: Closing Locked / Open Files on Windows Server 2008 / 2011.
- Reboot the server.
- Check permissions. For instructions on checking and changing permissions, see Permissions Guidelines for CS Professional Suite.
