Access Denied Error for CS Professional Suite Applications

In regard to CS Professional Suite applications, access denied errors can present themselves in a number of different ways, such as installing the application, applying updates, opening the application, etc. 

The access denied error may reference a specific path or file. For example,

  • "Access to C:\Wincsi\Licenses was denied"
  • "Access is denied: source file... cscabsv.dll"

To resolve access denied errors, try one of the following:

  1. Reboot the workstation.
  2. If possible, attempt to duplicate the behavior from another workstation.
  3. On network installations, have all users close the application. Then, close open files on the server. For instructions, see CS Professional Suite: Closing Locked / Open Files on Windows Server 2008 / 2011.
  4. Reboot the server.
