On January 14, 2020, Microsoft ended support for Windows 7. Because Thomson Reuters cannot support customers using our applications on unsupported operating systems, Accounting CS is no longer supported on Windows 7. We strongly recommend that you upgrade your workstations to a supported operating system. For more information, see End of Support for Windows 7.
General
- We have addressed an issue that, in certain circumstances, caused Accounting CS to close during attempts to print documents to GoFileRoom.
For firms using GoFileRoom integration in Accounting CS v.2019.4.1 or higher: At your earliest convenience, verify and edit the index mapping in the Value field for each Variable index value type in each document category tab in the Setup > GoFileRoom > Index Mapping dialog. Due to unintentional changes, some variable assignments may need to be reset.
Note: If you do not see the menu option to access the Setup > GoFileRoom > Index Mapping dialog, a staff member in the Administrator security group will need to verify and edit the index mappings.
Import of client data from QuickBooks Pro
- We have addressed an issue that prevented Accounting CS from importing payroll checks from QuickBooks Pro. Details
General - Payroll
- We have updated the WorkforceHUB integration to allow the import of employees that are using the new 2020 Form W-4.
Accounting CS Payroll, for live payroll processing
In addition to any changes made for general payroll features listed above for after-the-fact payroll processing, the following changes have been made for the live payroll processing features specific to Accounting CS Payroll.

Payroll compliance
- Oregon. The Oregon Department of Revenue now requires all employers to file Form WR electronically and will no longer accept paper copies of them. Therefore, we have removed the Paper filing method for the form and added the Web fill-in method. You can still file the forms using the Electronic filing method.
- We have addressed the following issues.
- The application closed unexpectedly during attempts to process Corrected 1099 forms.
- Oregon. The Form W-2 Copy 1 internet file was not including the Statewide Transit Tax (STT) amount.
- Wisconsin. All recipients were included in Form 1099 electronic files processed via the Actions > Process Payroll Tax Forms screen or the Actions > Edit Payroll Tax Forms screen, even when the Print All Recipients checkbox was cleared.
