General

• We have addressed an issue that, in certain circumstances, prevented the ENTER key from working properly when searching the Idea Incubator within Accounting CS. Details
  This issue occurred when the Use Enter key to move between fields checkbox was marked in the System tab of the Setup > User Preferences dialog.

General - Payroll

• We have addressed an issue that, in certain circumstances, caused the application to close when hours for COVID-19 special type pay items were entered in the Rapid tab of the Actions > Enter Batch Payroll Checks screen.

Payroll compliance

• We have addressed an issue that, in certain circumstances, caused liability amounts on Form 941 to not match Schedule B. Details
  This occurred during processing periods when a payroll check was entered on which:

  • only COVID-19 sick leave wages were paid, and
  • FICA-SS pre-tax deductions were withheld.

  We have updated the following state new hire files to the latest versions available from the agencies.

Accounting CS includes two interactive tools that provide valuable payroll tax information.

• The Payroll Form and Filing Information portlet provides information on federal, state, and certain local tax agents in the Home Dashboard or Firm Dashboard.
• The State-specific payroll tax form information article provides information on state payroll tax forms, processing tips, due dates, filing methods, agency information, tax payment details, state ID formats, e-filing notes, new hire reporting requirements, and more.
