Testing your connection helps you to determine whether the internet connection and the current communication settings will enable your computer to communicate properly with our network of secure data centers via CS Connect. Follow these steps to test your connection.

  1. Verify that your computer is connected to the internet by opening a browser and accessing any website. If you receive a message asking if you want to connect, choose Yes.
  2. Start Accounting CS and then choose File > CS Connect.
  3. Click the Connect Setup button.
  4. In the CS Connect - Communications Setup dialog, click the Test Connection button.

The Online Status dialog lists each test as it is performed and notes whether the test passed or failed. Each failure message is followed by a description of why the test failed. All tests must pass for your connection to operate correctly.
