Among the tools we have developed to help you market CBS to your clients is the PowerPoint file called "CBS - Your Day-to-Day Business Bookkeeping Solution" that offers a brief overview of CBS. The CBS PowerPoint file (CBS_pp_Marketing.PPT) is available on a separate CD called Client Bookkeeping Solution - Your Day-to-Day Business Bookkeeping Solution that we provide to each new CBS Master Licensee.

The CBS PowerPoint presentation is designed for you to customize with your own firm name and logo. You may, for example, want to make a version of this PowerPoint file available from your firm's own website - for review by any client or potential client. In addition, licensed users of Microsoft PowerPoint can modify the slides as necessary for individual clients (by removing slides that refer to modules not appropriate for a specific client).

Opening the CBS PowerPoint file from the Client Bookkeeping Solution CD

To open a password-protected file in Microsoft PowerPoint that is available on the Client Bookkeeping Solution CD (version 2003.1.0 or higher), do the following:

  1. Insert the Client Bookkeeping Solution CD into the CD drive on your computer. When the CBS installation begins automatically, click the Exit button and then choose Exit Setup.
  2. Using Windows Explorer or My Computer, navigate to the d:\Utilities\Marketing folder on the CD (where d represents the letter of your CD drive), and double-click the file called CBS_pp_Marketing.zip and then extract the file it contains, saving the file to a folder on your hard drive (such as c:\CBS\Marketing).

Note: This file is in compressed format. To uncompress it and save it to your hard drive, you will need to use a utility such as Winzip, EnZip, or PowerArchiver. You may install either of the latter two utilities from the d:\Utilities\Zip\Windows folder on the CBS CD.

  3. When prompted to enter a password, type cbs acct in the password field, click OK, and then close your Zip file utility. (Note that the password for this Zip file is case sensitive, so you must use lower-case letters.)
  4. Using Windows Explorer or My Computer, navigate to the folder on your hard drive where you chose to save the file when extracting it from the Zip file in Step 2 above.
  5. Double-click the file called CBS_pp_Marketing.PPT to open it in Microsoft PowerPoint.
