To complete the restore process for a new client with the same ID as an existing client, you need to temporarily rename the existing client to specify a different client ID by using the File > Rename command in CSA. (You would not want to permanently rename the existing client because that could cause problems with the integration of the client's data within other CS Professional Suite applications.)

You would need to do the following, as described in the following steps.

After restoring and processing any remaining CBS export data for the new client, you should use the File > Rename command in CSA assign the new client a unique ID and then instruct the client to update the Accountant's Co ID field in General tab of the File > Company Properties dialog to match that new client ID.

After you have renamed the new client in CSA, change the existing ID for the existing client back to its original using the File > Rename command.
