Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017. CSA will not include 2017 tax rates or payroll forms, so, for 2017 and beyond, you will need to process payroll in another application. We recommend Accounting CS Payroll and myPay Solutions. For more information, see the following topics.

  1. Change the Chart of Accounts mask on the General Ledger tab or Trial Balance tab of the File > Client Properties dialog to contain the number of Ls and/or Ds that you will need.
  2. Open the Chart of Accounts window.
  3. (Optional) Enter location and department descriptions for the client.
  4. From the Chart of Accounts window, choose the Renumber Accounts command from the Edit menu or from the F3 or right-click context menu and then, in the Renumber Accounts dialog, click the Change to Loc/Dept button.
  5. In the Renumber Accounts to be Loc/Dept Accounts dialog, specify the range of accounts to renumber and select the appropriate location and/or department from the drop-down lists. Click OK to automatically renumber all specified accounts and create the necessary combining accounts.
  6. Create additional location/department accounts.
