Important reminder!

Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017. CSA will not include 2017 tax rates or payroll forms, so, for 2017 and beyond, you will need to process payroll in another application. We recommend Accounting CS Payroll and myPay Solutions. For more information, see the following topics.

After the client's information is established, the Chart of Accounts must be set up. If you do not choose to transfer a Chart of Accounts from another client, then you will need to manually enter the Chart of Accounts.

  1. Select Setup > Chart of Accounts to open the Create Chart of Accounts dialog.
  2. Mark the option Transfer a Chart of Accounts from another client and click OK.
  3. In the Client to transfer from field, choose the client from which you wish to transfer a Chart of Accounts by selecting it from the F4 drop-down list.
  4. In the Transfer Client Information dialog, mark the Chart of Accounts checkbox (and the other client information checkboxes which you wish to transfer to your new client).
  5. Click the Transfer button.
  6. The Chart of Accounts window opens containing the transferred accounts.

GL clients: Unadjusted balances must be input either in a journal entry or directly into the Chart of Accounts as these balances cannot be entered into the Trial Balance window. It is recommended that you enter a journal entry.
