You can customize certain parts of the Chart of Accounts window.

  1. Choose Options from the Edit menu or the F3 or right-click context menu.
  2. On the Data Entry tab of the Chart of Accounts Options dialog, choose which fields (if any) to skip while entering Account information. You may also select Show all periods to expand the Account Detail grid to display the account information for all periods (only 13 periods will be displayed for weekly clients).
  3. On the Columns tab of the Chart of Accounts Options dialog, you can define which columns should appear in the Account Detail grid, and in what order you want them to appear. To add a column to the Account Detail grid, highlight it in the Columns Available list and click the Select button. To rearrange the order of the columns, highlight the column that you wish to move and then click the Move Up or Move Down button until the column is located in the desired position. You may rearrange the columns in any order by following this procedure with each column.

Note: The top to bottom arrangement in this dialog will appear as left to right in the Account detail grid.

  4. Click OK to accept your changes and return to the Chart of Accounts window.
  5. To adjust the width of the columns in the account detail grid, select an account from the accounts list and click edit. In the account detail grid, move the mouse over the line that separates two columns on the first row of the grid. When the left/right arrow appears, click and drag the mouse to make the column larger or smaller.
  6. Click enter or cancel to return to Browse mode. (Your customization will only effect this client).
