Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017.

Some processes documented in the Help & How-To Center are no longer applicable, due to the discontinuation of these CSA modules.

Use CS Connect to download and apply updated license information for all of your firm's Creative Solutions Accounting software, as well as for any of your Client Bookkeeping Solution clients.

Note: CS Connect is not needed if you use CSA in the Virtual Office CS or Software as a Service (SaaS) environment.

  1. Open CSA. (If you use Windows Vista or higher, right-click the application icon and choose Run as administrator.)
  2. Choose File > CS Connect.
  3. In the CS Connect dialog, mark the Retrieve licenses checkbox and clear any other checkboxes in this dialog.
  4. Click the Call Now button. CS Connect logs in to the servers at our network of secure data centers and downloads your licenses.
  5. Follow the remaining prompts to install the licenses.

Although we recommend that you update your license from your desktop, if the application cannot update and apply the license, you may need to perform these steps directly from the location where the client database resides.
