Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017.

Some processes documented in the Help & How-To Center are no longer applicable, due to the discontinuation of these CSA modules.

The default communication settings are correct for most connection types. However, users who connect to the servers at our network of secure data centers using a dial-up Internet service provider or a proxy server should review the communication settings. This is a one-time setup procedure.

Note: If you access CSA through Virtual Office CS, you do not need to use CS Connect.

  1. Open CSA and choose File > CS Connect.
  2. Click the Communications Setup button (in the lower-left corner of the CS Connect dialog).
  3. Use the Communications Setup dialog to manage the various communication settings for your computer so that you can connect to our servers. (Press F1 from that dialog to see information about the fields and options in that dialog.)
  4. Test your connection. If any of the tests fail, the connectivity problems must be addressed on your computer, network, or with your Internet service provider (ISP) before CS Connect will function correctly.
