As of the 2006.2.0 release of Practice CS, CSA and Practice CS are more closely integrated.

This improved integration works in the following way. When you open a specific client in Practice Management within Practice CS, you have the option to launch CSA from the client. CSA then opens to that client automatically, and a timer is started to capture all time spent working with that client's information. The timer is stopped when the CSA client is closed again, and the time information is sent back to Practice CS automatically.

CSA product fields that populate Practice CS

The following table lists the fields that are converted from CSA products to Practice CS.


  • Data sharing is based on the client EIN/SSN. After you enter the EIN/SSN in Practice CS, you will be prompted to accept data from CSA fields that share data.
  • The Sort Name field is populated when a client is brought into Practice CS through data sharing, but because CSA has no sort name field, this field will not share data thereafter.
