A layout is a "picture" of what will appear on a printed check or payroll form, except the names for the various data fields - such as the date, amount, payee, and so forth - appear on the layout rather than the information or values that would actually print.

A number of pre-defined check and form layouts are already included with your software. If necessary, however, you can create a new layout or modify an existing layout.
