Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017.

Some processes documented in the Help & How-To Center are no longer applicable, due to the discontinuation of these CSA modules.

  1. Choose File > Backup.
  2. Highlight the client(s) that you would like to save to a backup location and then click the Select button. (The open client, if any, is automatically selected.)
  3. Verify that the Backup location field specifies the correct path and folder. You should back up either to a network backup location or some type of removable media (floppy disk, compact disk, or zip disk). You should not choose another location your hard drive as the backup destination (except temporarily so that you can burn the backup to a CD outside of the CSA program). If you need to change the location, click the Change Backup Location button and browse to the proper drive and > or folder. If you are using removable media, make sure that the disk is already in the appropriate drive.
  4. Click the Backup button. If you have chosen to back up an open client, the client will close automatically. A status dialog displays the progress of the backup. When complete, the Abort button will change to a Done button.
  5. Click the Done button to close the Backup Status dialog.
