The Creative Solutions Accounting software enables you to create invoices for client billing and export them to Practice Solution (version 03.1.0 or higher), which in turn records the amount of the invoice and enables you to update and track the receivable amounts.

If you plan to export invoices from CSA to Practice Solution for a specific client, be sure that both the client ID and the EIN or TIN are identical in both programs.

Specifying the Practice Solution folder locations

  1. From the CSA main window, choose Setup > User Preferences.
  2. In the File Locations tab of the User Preferences dialog, do the following:
    1. Specify the location where your Practice Solution program files have been installed.
      Example: C:\WINCSI\PS
    2. Specify the location where your Practice Solution client data files are stored.
      Example: C:\WINCSI\PSDATA
  3. Click OK.

Exporting invoices

After you have completed Steps 1 - 3 above, an Export to PS button appears on the Setup > Invoices dialog.

If one or more invoices have been entered in the Setup > Invoices dialog in CSA, you may click the Export to PS button. CSA writes information about each invoice and saves that in a file called Invoice.dat and saves it in the CSA2CSP subfolder of the location (as specified in Step 2 above) where the Practice Solution software is installed. For details on additional steps in Practice Solution, search on Importing invoices from Creative Solutions Accounting from the Index tab of the Creative Solutions Practice Help Topics dialog.
