Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017. CSA will not include 2017 tax rates or payroll forms, so, for 2017 and beyond, you will need to process payroll in another application. We recommend Accounting CS Payroll and myPay Solutions. Follow this procedure to transmit the electronic filing forms (and to receive acknowledgements) via CS Connect.

This procedure assumes that the electronic file has passed the Electronic Filing error checking. At that point, the file is placed in a queue until you are ready to transmit it.

  1. From the CSA main window, choose File > CS Connect.
  2. Mark the Electronic Filing: Transmit returns checkbox.

    Note: This checkbox is accessible only if one or more electronic files have been created.

  3. To retrieve acknowledgements for returns that have previously been transmitted for electronic filing, mark the Electronic Filing: Retrieve acknowledgements checkbox on the Options tab before connecting.
  4. Click the Call now option and then click the Call Now button.
  5. In the dialog that opens, the pane on the left shows a list of clients available for transmission. Select the clients for transmission by highlighting the client name and clicking the Select button. Selected clients appear in the pane on the right.

    Note: To remove a client from the pane on the right, highlight the client name and click the Remove button. To delete an electronic file from the system, highlight the client name and click the Delete button.
