Engagement CS integrates with Microsoft Word to allow CSA trial balance information to be linked in Word documents. When you open Word from within Engagement CS, you can take advantage of the Engagement CS pull-down menu and toolbar. With Engagement CS you can combine Word's formatting features while simultaneously linking to CSA client data. See Opening a Word document from Engagement CS.

You can take advantage of the integration functionality between Engagement CS and Microsoft Word to mark procedures as completed and insert hyperlinks to other workpapers within the current engagement.

Special information

• You can copy existing Word document into the Engagement CS workspace to take advantage of the add-in menu items.
• You can use the Create Workpaper wizard from the File menu and select the option to add an existing file into Engagement CS.

Menu commands

To open the Engagement CS add-in menu, right-click in the Word document when it is launched from Engagement CS either inside or outside of the engagement workspace.

Procedure Completed		Allows you to insert your initials and the current date (mm-dd-yy) into the selected cell of the workpaper.
Insert Workpaper Link		Allows you to insert a hyperlink to another workpaper within the current engagement. You can choose Tasks > Update Workpaper Links from Engagement CS to update the workpaper name and reference for workpaper links inserted into Microsoft Word when the targeted workpaper name or reference has been changed. Note: The update workpaper links utility will not update workpapers that are currently checked out from the engagement. These workpapers will need to be checked back into the Master Client Data (MCD) before the links can be updated successfully.
Insert Variables		Allows you to create new or edit existing formulas that link directly to the CSA client data for which you are creating the workpaper. You can also add, subtract, multiply or divide two or more CSA formulas together.
Recalculate		Allows you to recalculate the workpaper(s) for changes made in the client since the Word workpaper was last opened or created. For example, changes to the trial balance or journal entries.
Checkmark		Allows you to insert a checkmark in the workpaper or document.
Custom Format		Use this button to format inserted amount variables and/or dates in the workpaper.
N/A		Allows you to insert an N/A in the workpaper or document.
Tickmarks		Allows you to insert predefined tickmarks from the CSA client data into the selected cell of the workpaper.
Tickmark Legend		Allows you to insert a Tickmark Legend containing predefined tickmarks from the CSA client data into the selected cell of the workpaper.
