If you are connected to the Master Client Data (MCD) via a network connection, you can update any changes made to the LCD in the Field or Office Master Client Data by using the Tasks > Synchronize feature in Engagement CS. This method can be used as an alternative to sending and receiving engagement documents via a transfer file to update the MCD and the Local Client Data (LCD) when there is a network connection available.

When the Synchronize option is selected an attempt is made by the application to connect to the Office Master Client Data location previously set up in the User Preferences dialog. If that location is unavailable, the application attempts to connect to the Field Master Client Data location.
