License Diskette Build

If you have a workstation that does not have the ability to download licenses via CS Connect, another option is to create a license diskette. CSA has the ability to copy your most recent product license to a flash drive or to a different location on your hard drive.

To create a license diskette, use the following procedure:

  1. From the Help menu, choose Repair.
  2. Click the License Disk tab.
  3. If the location displayed in the Source Location field is not correct, click the browse button next to the field and use the Modify Location dialog to navigate to the appropriate location.
  4. Click the Browse button next to the Destination Location field to navigate to the location where you want to create your license diskette.
  5. When you are ready to create the license diskette, click the Create License Disk button.

To install the License diskette on a computer without internet connection:

  1. Follow the "To create a license diskette, use the following procedure" steps (above) and copy the resulting Setup.exe file onto the workstation that does not have internet access.
  2. Right-click on the Setup.exe file and choose run as administrator.
  3. Click yes to: Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your PC?
  4. Select Next to begin the process.
  5. Browse and locate the X:\WinCSI\Tools\CSALic folder, where X is the driver letter where the program is installed.
  6. Click ok.
  7. Click Next.
  8. The files will extract to that location and the CSA License Setup Wizard will begin.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Review the License Agreement and select "I Agree", if you agree and wish to continue with the license installation.
  11. Click Next.
  12. Verify the destination folder is pointing to the correct location. This is typically, X:\WinCSI\Licenses. If not, click Browse and correct the destination path to X:\WinCSI\Licenses, where X is the driver letter where the program is installed.
  13. Click Install.
  14. Click Close.
  15. Open the application.

Additional steps required for a network installation

If you installed the license information and the program files on a network, you must also run the desktop setup program on each workstation.

  1. Click the Start button on the Windows Taskbar and choose Run.
  2. In the Run dialog, type h:\folder\WINCSI\CSA\Desktop\Setup (where h and folder represent the server location where you installed both the license information and the program files. (For example, if you installed the license information and program files in F:\WINAPPS\WINCSI, you would need to enter F:\WINAPPS\WINCSI\CSA\Desktop\Setup in the Run dialog.)
