Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017. CSA will not include 2017 tax rates or payroll forms, so, for 2017 and beyond, you will need to process payroll in another application. We recommend Accounting CS Payroll and myPay Solutions. If you have the Engagement CS User Preference option marked to Use single click to open PDF files inside Engagement CS you may receive a CSA MFC application error or the program may close when opening all PDF documents in the engagement workspace.

Run the desktop setup program on each workstation experiencing the issue. Follow these steps.

  1. Close all open programs.
  2. Verify that you are logged into your computer as a local administrator.
  3. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the location where Creative Solutions Accounting (CSA) is installed. For example, X:\WinCSI\CSA\Desktop where X represents the drive where the program is installed.
  4. In the Desktop folder, right-click on the Setup.exe file, choosing Run as Administrator.
  5. Follow the prompts to install the desktop setup.
  6. On the Shortcut Options page of the Installation wizard, unmark the option of 'Yes - to the Desktop' of adding a shortcut for the CSA program.
  7. When the installation finishes, restart the workstation.
