Important reminder!

Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017. CSA will not include 2017 tax rates or payroll forms, so, for 2017 and beyond, you will need to process payroll in another application. We recommend Accounting CS Payroll and myPay Solutions. For more information, see the following topics.

  1. After you have saved all required information in the applicable tax form(s), choose Print from the File menu to display the Print Tax Forms dialog.
  2. Mark the Create SUTA file checkbox. This checkbox is accessible only if SUTA file creation is available for the selected state.

Note: If you are processing only a SUTA file and do not want to prepare printed copies of the forms, you do not need to mark any of the checkboxes in the forms grid on the Print Tax Forms dialog.

  3. Click OK.
  4. The application creates the file and stores it in the MagMedia\yyyy\Qn subfolder where the application files are located.

    Example: c:\wincsi\csasys\MagMedia\2009\Q1\

For SUTAs, note that the filenaming conventions vary by state.

When the files are created, they are automatically encrypted for security and stored in the \CSASYS\MAGMEDIA\yyyy\Q# folder (where # represents the filing quarter).

  1. To decrypt the files before submitting them to the appropriate agency, be sure to use the File > Save to Submittable Format command. You can use the preview function to view decrypted files.
  2. Use the Restore from Submittable Format command to encrypt the files again for storage.
  3. For additional information, click the Search button in the CSA help browser and enter the state name.
