Important reminder!

Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017. CSA will not include 2017 tax rates or payroll forms, so, for 2017 and beyond, you will need to process payroll in another application. We recommend Accounting CS Payroll and myPay Solutions. For more information, see the following topics.

The Alaska Payroll Tax module supports the following forms:

Choose Utilities > Payroll Tax Processing and then either click the AK state flag icon on the shortcut bar or choose View > Alaska. Click the appropriate tab to access the desired form. (Alaska must be selected in the Payroll tab of the Client Properties dialog in order for the AK flag to appear on the shortcut bar.)

Note: Payroll tax processing data is kept in separate files, so any changes made to the retrieved data will not carry back to your payroll data.

Special information

For each state that you will be processing for a client, you must first enter the two-character state postal code in the Payroll tab of the File > Client Properties dialog.

To have the application calculate SUTA amounts and the SUTA Worksheet report, the state field must be completed for the applicable state(s) for each employee - in the Other tab of the Setup > Employees window.

Box 13 - Full Occupational Title or Code - and Box 14 - Geographic Code - automatically pull information from the Text 1 and Text 2 fields, respectively, in the Personal/W-2 tab of the Employees window.
