Assigning tickmarks can assist you in the later review and analysis of a client's accounts. Any tickmark established in the Tickmarks dialog can be assigned to accounts directly in the Trial Balance window.

To assign tickmarks to accounts, the Tickmark column must be included in the Trial Balance window. To add this column, you must first establish a custom view or edit the Default view in the Trial Balance CS View Maintenance dialog.

  1. Choose Tasks > Trial Balance.
  2. In the Trial Balance window, choose the tickmark by selecting it from the F4 drop-down list in the Tickmarks field.
