Important reminder!

Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017. CSA will not include 2017 tax rates or payroll forms, so, for 2017 and beyond, you will need to process payroll in another application. We recommend Accounting CS Payroll and myPay Solutions. For more information, see the following topics.

After you have chosen the applicable module(s) to use for a new client, the New Client > Client Properties dialog opens. You may access this dialog after the initial client setup by choosing Client Properties from the File menu. (Press F1 or CTRL+F1 for detailed information on using the Client Properties dialog.)

  1. Enter your client's identification and address information in the General Information tab of the New Client dialog.
  2. Click the Trial Balance tab and enter the fiscal year end date, number of years of balances and transactions to save, and entity type. You may revisit this tab after setup is complete.
  3. On the Trial Balance tab, specify the Chart of Accounts mask for your client.

For a GL client: The General Ledger tab contains all client property information that is also required for Trial Balance CS. In this tab, you can enter the fiscal year end date, number of years of balances and transactions to save, and entity type. You may revisit this tab after setup is complete.

  4. Click OK to save and close the client information dialog.
