Important reminder!

Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017. CSA will not include 2017 tax rates or payroll forms, so, for 2017 and beyond, you will need to process payroll in another application. We recommend Accounting CS Payroll and myPay Solutions. For more information, see the following topics.

Options exist that allow you to skip certain fields when entering account information into the Chart of Accounts, to display account information for all periods, and to select the columns you want to display and in what order.

From the CSA main window, choose Setup > Chart of Accounts. When the Chart of Accounts window is active, choose Options from the Edit menu or from the F3 or right-click context menu

Note: You must be in Browse mode (rather than Add or Edit mode) to access any of the options or dialogs that are available from the Edit menu or the right-click context menu when the Chart of Accounts window is active.

Fields & buttons

Data Entry tab

When entering account information into the Chart of Accounts, you can define options that allow you to skip certain fields, or to show account information for all periods.

Columns tab

When entering account information into the Chart of Accounts, you can define which columns you want to appear in the Account detail grid, and in what order you want them to appear. You may include Debit, Credit, Balance, Budget, and Adjusted Budget columns for as many years back as you have specified to save in the General Ledger tab of the File > Client Properties dialog. You may also choose to include a Future Year Budget column that will allow to enter budgets for the next fiscal year to do projections. There is also a button that allows you to restore the column selection and arrangement to the application default.
