The overall objective of the Accountant's Trial Balance (ATB) to Trial Balance CS conversion utility is to provide a comprehensive conversion of your ATB for Windows data to Trial Balance CS.

Choose Utilities menu > Data Conversion > AICPA > Accountant's Trial Balance.

Data Conversion from Accountant's Trial Balance for Windows to CSA (PDF)

Fields & buttons

Location of ATBW data

Enter the drive and folder where your ATBW client/data files are located, or click the Browse button to search for the correct folder.

Client to import

Once you have specified the location of the files to import, select the client from the drop-down list.

Target client

Select one of the following options:

  • Create new CSA client
    If you select this option, you must also enter a unique ID in the CSA client ID to create field and select an entity type in the CSA Entity Type field.
  • Convert into current client
    Select this option if you wish to convert ATBW information for the currently selected CSA client. This will add the converted information to any Chart of Accounts, other setup information, or transactions that you might have already entered for an existing CSA client.

    Note: This would be the option you would normally choose if you wanted to convert ATBW information for an existing Trial Balance CS client.
