Use this dialog to enter setup information for a selected employee.
Employees window. Open this dialog from the Tax Withholdings & Deductions tab of the Setup > Employees window by clicking the button for a State W/H item. Choose the Other tab.

Fields & buttons
Displays the description of the selected withholding item.
If the employee's W-4 specifies an additional state withholding amount per paycheck, enter the amount in this field.
If the employee's W-4 specifies an additional percentage of gross pay, enter the percentage in this field.
Certain states allow for an exemption amount based on marital status, number of dependents, and job status. These exemptions are determined in such a way that no single table can be created to correctly reflect the calculation, and the amount may differ among employees.
If applicable for the current employee, calculate the annual exemption amount and enter it in this field.
Some states give extra allowances for being over age 65. Mark the appropriate checkbox(es) if this applies to the employee or the employee's spouse.
Some states give extra allowances for being blind. Mark the appropriate checkbox(es) if this applies to the employee or the employee's spouse.
If you enter a fixed amount for state tax to be withheld from this employee's paychecks, the application uses this amount and disregards all other state withholding instructions.
However, if the Use greater of fixed or calc'd amt checkbox is marked, the application calculates the state withholding and uses the calculated amount if it's greater than the state withholding specified in the Fixed amount field (or the Fixed percentage field).
Some states specify a percentage of federal withholding for state tax, which may vary among employees.
If appropriate for the current employee, enter the percentage to use for this calculation.
