The Engagement CS User Preferences Properties dialog allows you to define how you wish to use and view the program when processing engagements for any client. The settings include general options for using the software as well as file locations for the Office master client data and the Field master client data.
Choose Setup > User Preferences to open the Engagement CS User Preferences Properties dialog.
Note: The settings in this dialog are global settings for all engagements (not engagement-specific). For a network installation, each workstation can have its own individual settings.
Tabbed pages in this dialog
Engagement CS tab
Mark the appropriate options in the list of preferences to activate the selection. (When you click an option, an explanation of that option appears below the options listview pane.)
- Use tabbed Window View. When marked, each window in the Document View pane will appear with a tabbed identifier at the bottom of each window.
- Open last client accessed when starting Engagement CS. When marked, the last client that was opened in Engagement CS will automatically open upon re-entering the program.
- Prompt to attach sticky note when entering new review note. When marked, you will be prompted to attach a sticky note on the current engagement in the Document View window (Yes or No) when you have finished entering the Review Note and click OK in the Review Notes dialog.
- Launch Engagement CS after login. When marked, the Engagement CS module is launched directly after you login to CSA.
- Open client when exiting to CSA. When marked, the current engagement client will remain opened in CSA when you exit the Engagement CS module.
- Use double click to open workpaper outside of Engagement CS. When marked, double-clicking on a workpaper in the tree view will open the workpaper outside of Engagement CS.
- Automatically share display area. When marked, Engagement CS automatically shares the display area between document folders and the document currently visible. To control presentation, move the mouse over the window you want to see.
- Refresh documents upon Sign Off. When marked, documents that are signed off will be refreshed as part of the document signoff process.
- Use single click to open PDF files inside Engagement CS. When marked, a single-clicking on a PDF workpaper in the Tree View window will open it inside the engagement workspace.
Synchronize tab
Specify or browse to the locations for your client data.
- Office master client data path. Specify the default shared network location where the program should look for your engagement client data files. This folder is where office master client data is stored and updated during the synchronization process.
Example: X:\WINCSI\CSAdata (where X is the shared network drive)
- Field master client data path. Specify the default network (laptop or remote workstation) location where the program should look for your engagement client data files when you are not in the office. This folder is where field master client data is stored and updated during the synchronization process.
Example: Z:\WINCSI\CSAdata (where Z is the network drive where the Master Client Data is stored when staff are working in the field.).
