The Chart of Accounts Report lists available account types. Accounts are listed by number, indicating whether they are an asset or liability account type, and the description of each account type.
Open the File > Print dialog using any of the following methods.
- Clicking the Print button on the toolbar.
- Click the Print Reports icon on the shortcut bar.
- Choose Print Reports from the File menu.
On the Reports tab in the Print dialog, double-click Chart of Accounts to move this report to the Selected pane.

Print options
Print options for a report may be saved as part of a report profile. Otherwise, print options automatically revert to their default settings when you deselect a report for printing or exit the Print dialog (unless the Save report options checkbox is marked in the Print tab of the Setup > User Preferences dialog).
General tab (for a multi-location or multi-department client)
Specify one of the following options by selecting it from the F4 drop-down list:
- Account number (default selection)
- Account type
- Loc/Dept grouped by combining accounts (for a multi-location or multi-department client only
For a multi-location or multi-department client
To include combining accounts in the Chart of Accounts Report, mark the Print combining accounts checkbox and (optionally) the Print combining accounts only checkbox.
Note: For a multi-location or multi-department client, you need to set up combining accounts for the program to use as a place to accumulate (and from which to report) consolidated totals. (From the Setup > Chart of Accounts window, choose Enter Combining Accounts from the Edit menu or from the F3 or right-click context menu.)
Account Selection tab
You may choose to include either all or selected accounts in this report. The Accounts Available (left pane) and the Accounts Selected (right pane) sections of this dialog are enabled only if the Print selected accounts option is marked.
