You can choose to print CSA reports, payroll and vendor checks, payroll tax forms, engagement workpapers, or whole engagements to a file or as an email attachment in Portable Document Format (PDF). The file can be sent to your local hard drive or to a network location to which your workstation is connected, or it can be sent as an attachment to an email message.

For CSA users printing reports or statements from the Print dialog

Select and print reports or statements for the open client by choosing Print Reports from the File menu, by clicking the Print Reports icon on the shortcut bar, by clicking the Print button on the toolbar, or by pressing the CTRL+P shortcut keys. In the Print dialog, click the Reports tab or the Documents tab and then double-click each report or document that you want to select for printing. Mark the Store image in checkbox, choose File/Email from the drop-down list, and click the To File button to open the Send to File/Email dialog.

For users of Payroll CS or Vendor checkwriting

Choose Print Checks from the File menu or click the Check Printing icon on the shortcut bar to print payroll checks (Payroll CS only) and > or vendor checks (Payroll CS or Vendor checkwriting). In the Print Checks dialog, mark the Store image in checkbox and choose File/Email from the drop-down list.

For users of Payroll CS or the Payroll Compliance module

Choose File > Print from the Payroll Tax Processing window. In the Print dialog, mark the Store image in checkbox and choose File/Email from the drop-down list.

For users of Engagement CS

Choose the File > Send Engagement to > File/Email command.

Special information

For Engagement CS users

  • This option is available only when you select an engagement from the Tree window of the engagement workspace.
  • You must refresh all outdated documents in the engagement before you send an engagement to a file. See Refreshing engagement documents on demand.
  • The folder structure of the engagement is retained in the layout of the bookmarks within the PDF that is created so that you can easily access information within the file.
