The application can automatically calculate withholding amounts for payroll checks (including federal, state, and local withholdings) when an employee record is set up with the appropriate withholding item information. Use the Withholding Items dialog to define global withholding items, which are available for any payroll client.

Choose Setup > System Configuration > Withholding Items.

Using this dialog

After the initial setup of withholding items in the application, any changes you enter and save in the Withholding Items dialog will immediately update all employee records using the item, across all clients.
