To assign a location code for each payroll department for Indiana client, use the Indiana Location Code Assignment dialog.

Choose Utilities > Payroll Tax Processing and click the IN state flag icon on the shortcut bar, or choose View > Indiana and then choose Setup > IN Location Code Assignment.

Special information

Indiana Form UC-5A is created using the location codes specified in the Indiana Location Code assignment dialog. By default, all clients are identified as single-location clients, with the default location code of 00. To report more than one location code for a single client, open the Indiana Location Code Assignment dialog and assign a location code to each payroll department. The program will then create a separate Form UC-5A for each location.

Employee wages are reported for the location code assigned to each employee's home department. If an employee is assigned to several payroll departments, the wage details are combined and reported for all wages using the location code assigned to the employee's home department.
