Important reminder!

Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017. CSA will not include 2017 tax rates or payroll forms, so, for 2017 and beyond, you will need to process payroll in another application. We recommend Accounting CS Payroll and myPay Solutions. For more information, see the following topics.

The Kentucky Supplemental Information dialog allows you to enter additional information unique to the Kentucky form processing requirements.

Choose Utilities > Payroll Tax Processing and then either click the KY state flag icon on the shortcut bar or choose View > Kentucky. Choose Setup > Supplemental Information when the Kentucky payroll tax processing window is active.

Fields & buttons

General tab

Enter the following unemployment information.

  • Calculate interest/penalty (checkbox). Mark this checkbox to automatically calculate the interest and penalty amounts based on the submission date entered in the Signature information group box.
  • Another report was late (checkbox). Mark this checkbox if applicable for the selected client to add an additional penalty to Line 7 as described in the form instructions.

Enter the following signature information as it applies to your client.

  • Title. Enter the preparer's job title.
  • Date. Enter the date the form(s) were signed by the preparer. Note that the automatic calculation of interest and penalty is based on this date.
  • Suppress date on forms (checkbox). Marking this checkbox omits the signature date from all forms.

Withholding tab

Enter the following information as it applies to your client.

  • Filing frequency. Select Annual, Quarterly, Monthly, Twice-monthly, or EFT from the drop-down list. The program uses the filing frequency to determine which state tax forms to populate with data.
  • First half (1-15)/Second half (16 - end). If you selected a filing frequency of Twice-monthly, choose either the first half or second half of the month you are currently filing. These options are available only if the filing frequency is Twice-monthly. Also, you must have entered wage information for the client in the form of checks (not just earnings) in order to file Twice-monthly. This is because the program retrieves First half and Second half monthly information based on check dates.

Enter the payment amounts for each applicable month.
