Important reminder!

Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017.

For details, see CSA license expiration 2017 – frequently asked questions.

Some processes documented in the Help & How-To Center are no longer applicable, due to the discontinuation of these CSA modules.

The Minnesota Unit Code Assignment dialog allows you to assign a unit code to each payroll department.

Choose Utilities > Payroll Tax Processing and then either click the MN state flag icon on the shortcut bar or choose View > Minnesota, and then choose Setup > MN Unit Code Assignment.

Special information

The Minnesota magnetic media file is created using the Minnesota unit code as entered in the Minnesota SUTA ID field in the Client Properties window (0123456-1234, where 0123456 is the employer account number and 1234 is the unit code). To report more than one unit code within a single client, use the Minnesota Unit Code Assignment dialog to assign a unit code to each payroll department.

Employee wages will be reported to the unit code assigned to each employee's home department. If an employee is assigned to several payroll departments, the wage detail will combine and report all wages using the unit code assigned to the employee's home department.
