Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017. CSA will not include 2017 tax rates or payroll forms, so, for 2017 and beyond, you will need to process payroll in another application. We recommend Accounting CS Payroll and myPay Solutions. For more information, see the following topics.

If a state requires you to calculate variable standard deductions for employee withholding, use the Variable Deductions tab of the State Tax Information dialog to enter or update the annualized rates and both the minimum and maximum deduction amounts. Payroll CS uses this information when calculating state withholding amounts during payroll check processing.

Choose Setup > System Configuration > Payroll Tax Information > State. In the State Tax Information dialog, click a state or other jurisdiction to select it and then choose the Variable Deductions tab.
