Use the Trial Balance Window AJE Options dialog to choose a date preference and to specify whether to include certain columns in the Adjusting Journal Entry grid.
With the Tasks > Trial Balance window in the split screen view, place the cursor anywhere in the Automatic Journal Entry grid, and then choose Options from the F3 or right-click context menu.
Fields & buttons
The Trial Balance Window AJE Options dialog contains the following selection groups:
You can have the program automatically enter all or part of the date in the Date field for new entries in the Automatic Journal Entry grid, or you can have the program leave the Date field blank. To choose one of the date options, mark the Have system automatically checkbox, and then choose the desired option:
- Enter period ending date. The program automatically enters the period end date.
- Enter month and year. The program automatically enters only the month and year of the current processing period so that you can enter the specific day.
- Enter year. The program automatically enters only the year of the current processing period so that you can enter the specific month and day.
- Leave date field blank. The program skips the Date field and leaves it blank so that you can add the date later.
Mark the checkbox for either or both of the following Optional Columns to include these columns in the Adjusting Journal Entry grid:

- Misstatement Type
