The event tracking feature in Workpapers CS is active in the application by default, and enables you to automatically record and monitor selected events that affect a firm database.

To check that event tracking is enabled in the application, choose Setup > Firm Information > Firm and click the Preferences tab to verify that the Disable event tracking checkbox is cleared.

For details about the types of events that the application can track, see the Event tracking topic.

Choose Setup > Firm Information > Firm, click the Events tab, and specify a filter for the events that you want to view in the grid.

Notes

  • For performance reasons, the application does not display events in the grid until you select a filter.
  • Disabling event tracking prevents new events from being added to the list, but it does not delete the history of events that have already been logged.
