In the Report Designer you can create a quarterly financial statement for a monthly period frequency client.

Choose File > Report Designer and double-click a report or financial statement in the Reports list frame to open it in the design grid.

Prior to making changes to a report (including letters and financial statements) in the Report Designer, we recommend that you choose File > Save As to save the report with a different name. To restore a predefined report in which changes have been made, you can choose File > Restore Default.

Defining a column as quarterly

  1. In the design grid, click on the first column that you want to designate as quarterly.

Note: You can press the SHIFT key and click multiple rows to select them all at one time.

  2. In the Column Properties section of the Design Tools frame, change the period field to: [(CP-2) + (CP-1) + (CP)] to combine the current and prior two periods.
  3. To create a prior-year quarterly column, use the formula: [(1PP-2) + (1PP-1) + (1PP)].

Defining a column header as quarterly

  1. In the design grid, click on the cell that contains the column header variable.
  2. In the Cell Properties section of the Design Tools frame make the following changes.
    • Change the contents to [Client.AccountingProcessing.Periods.MonthsinQuartertoDate] Ended.
    • Change the period to CP.
  3. To change a heading to the prior year quarter, use the [Client.AccountingProcessing.Periods.MonthsinQuartertoDate] Ended variable and change the period to 1PP.
  4. Choose File > Save As to save the changes in the report.
