  2. Click the Import Import fund template button button in the Funds tab.
  3. Choose Spreadsheet from the Source drop-down list.
  4. Click the Import File field, browse to the spreadsheet to import, and click OK.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • Choose New from the Type field, enter a name for the template in the Name field, and specify a mask.

Note: Use F to designate a character for a fund; Use S to designate a character for a sub fund; Use C to designate an alpha or numeric core account character. For example, "FFFSCCCC".

    • Choose Existing from the Type field and choose an existing template to modify from the Name field.

Note: The Mask field will indicate the mask for the template that you selected.

  6. Select one of the following from the Duplicates drop-down list to specify how AdvanceFlow will handle duplicate fund items.
    • Display as errors: If duplicate items exist, AdvanceFlow generates a validation message with the option to renumber the item or to exclude the duplicate item from the imported file.
    • Import first fund item: If duplicate items exist, the first item is imported.
    • Import last fund item: If duplicate items exist, the last item is imported.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Specify header and column information for the spreadsheet you selected and click Next.
  9. Follow the instructions in the Import Fund Template wizard to resolve any import errors and click Next.
