  2. Right-click the desired engagement in the navigation pane and choose Properties from the context menu.
  3. Click the Trial Balance tab.
  4. Select the new type (None, Consolidated, Divisional, or Fund) in the Structure field.
  5. Click OK.

Notes

  • Account numbers can contain up to 65 characters.
  • If you select None for the account structure, there are no restrictions on your account numbers, beyond the 65-character maximum.
  • If you select Divisional, you must also specify the account mask using the following rules.
    • The mask can have only one division (of any length) and the core.
    • To specify a fixed-length core, use C to represent a letter, number, or separator (such as period or dash) for each character in the core.
    • To specify a variable-length core, use a single asterisk (*) to represent the letters, numbers, or separators that comprise the core.
  • If you select Fund, you will have the option to create a new fund structure or to use a fund template. For more information on these options, see Applying the Fund structure to an engagement. We recommend that you set up one or more fund templates for your firm before you add fund engagements. This will make it easier to apply a fund structure.
