The method that you use to place an annotation determines its position, as shown in the following table.


Placement method Position
Pasted using the Paste command in the context menu Location of the cursor when you left-click the mouse
Pasted an annotation using the CTRL+V keyboard shortcut Upper-left corner of the page
Inserted the annotation using the Stamp Library command in the context menu Location of the cursor when you left-click the mouse to release the annotation.
Inserted the annotation from the Stamp Library using a keyboard shortcut Location of the original annotation when it was saved to the Stamp Library
Inserted the annotation from the Stamp Library by choosing Edit > Annotations > Stamp Library Location of the original annotation when it was saved to the Stamp Library

Note: To move an annotation, click it, hold down the mouse button, and drag the annotation to the desired position.
