Undoing changes made to an embedded object

If you made changes to an embedded object and wish to revert to the previous version of the document, follow these steps.

Notes

  • Each time you close an embedded object after editing, the changes are saved. Consequently, the option to revert to the previous version of the document applies only to the changes made during the current editing session.
  • The Open embedded Microsoft Office documents in a separate window checkbox in the Setup > User Preferences > Misc tab must be unmarked for this option.
  1. Choose File > Revert Object.
  2. You will be prompted to discard the changes made to the document. Click OK.
