Page notes

You can add, edit, and modify font settings for page notes attached to documents or images without the need to create annotations. Also, page notes allow you to view comments from other staff.

Note: Page notes are for internal use and are not transmitted to DT Client Portal.

Adding page notes

To add a page note to a document or image, follow these steps.

  1. In the Folders window, select the page to which you want to add a note.

    Note: You cannot add notes to embedded objects.

  2. At the bottom of the Watch window, click the Page Notes tab.
  3. Click the Add Note button and enter a note.

A blue note icon appears in the Folders window next to the current page to show that it contains a note.

Notes

  • To delete text from a note, select the text and press DELETE.
  • To delete all notes from a page, highlight the page in the Folders window and click the delete Delete page note button shows an x on the button button in the Page Notes tab.

Editing page notes

  1. In the Folders window, select the page that contains the note you want to edit.
  2. Click in the Page Notes tab at the bottom of the Watch window and add, update, or delete text.

Any changes you make are saved automatically.

To delete a single note, highlight it in the Page Notes tab and click the Delete button.

Changing font settings for page and drawer notes

To change the font type and text size for all drawer and page notes in DT FileCabinet, follow these steps.

  1. Choose Setup > System Configuration, and click the DT Connect + Misc tab.
  2. In the Drawer / page note defaults section, select the font type and size from the Font type and Font size fields.
