Repairing an archive

You may need to repair an archive if the archive takes a long time to load in the Folders window.

Note: The archive repair process improves archive performance by increasing the file sector size. This process also increases the archive file size.

  1. Choose File > Archive.
  2. Click the Repair archive option.
  3. Click the Continue button.
  4. In the left pane, highlight the archive volumes you want to repair and click the Select button to move them to the right pane.

    If you don't see the archive you are looking for in the left pane, you can click the Ellipsis button Ellipsis button has three dots on it and choose another archive data location.

    Optional: Mark the Exclude converted archives checkbox or the Exclude defunct archives checkbox.
  5. Click the Repair button.
