Follow these steps to add a drawer.
- Click the New Drawer button .
- Select the data location to which you will add the drawer from the Data Location field.
Note: Data locations must be added in the Data Locations tab of the System Configuration dialog. For more information, see Data Locations overview.
- In the Drawer ID field, enter the drawer ID.
Note: You can enter up to 11 characters in this field.
- In the Drawer name field, enter the drawer name.
- In the Drawer email field, enter an email address. This address will appear in the To field when you email documents from this drawer.
Notes
- To transmit documents from this drawer to DT Staff Portal or DT Client Portal, mark the Designate this drawer as a contributor to DT Client Portal checkbox. This checkbox is available only if you are licensed for DT Firm Portal.
- Client information is automatically added to DT FileCabinet when a client's documents are sent to DT FileCabinet from other DT Professional Suite applications.
- To enable password protection for this drawer, click the Restrict Access button and enter a password.
- You can add drawers when printing documents to the DT FileCabinet print driver.
