Use this tab to specify the media type, destination location, and maximum size for your archive volumes.
To open this tab, choose Setup > System Configuration and click the Archive tab.
Click this option to select a fixed drive, such as a local or network drive, for your archive location.
The current archive location is displayed in this field. Click the Modify button to change the location.
Click this option to select a removable medium, such as a CD, DVD, or USB Flash drive, for your archive location.
The selected drive is displayed in this field. Click the Modify button to change the drive selection.
Note: DT FileCabinet does not include a CD-recording application; therefore, if you wish to store archives on CD, you may want to specify a fixed media location for temporary storage of the archive before transferring the data to CD.
Enter a size limit, in megabytes, for your archive. The size limit you enter should be appropriate for the type of media to which you save the archive.
For example, a typical data CD has a capacity of 650 MB, so you should enter a size limit of 650 MB or less for this medium. DVDs have typical capacities of 4.7 GB for single sided and 8.5 GB for double sided. Enter a size limit appropriate for the capacity of the media you use.
