Marking a client as located in a Disaster Area

To mark a client as being located in a Disaster Area, perform the following steps.

  1. In the Asset List window, choose Setup > Options.
  2. In the Calculation tab, mark the Located in a Disaster Area checkbox.

    Note: This checkbox is available only if the current client's processing period is 1/1/08 or after.

  3. Click the Available Dates button.
  4. In the Select Applicable Federal Disaster Area dialog, click the applicable disaster.
  5. Click OK to save your changes and return to the Calculation tab.
  6. Click OK to return to the Asset List window.

Note: You do not need to mark clients as being in a Disaster Area after 2012.
