Fixed Assets CS includes menu commands for performing various tasks or accessing different features of the application. The menu commands that are available vary depending on whether the asset list window or the asset detail dialog is open. In addition, some commands may not be available if they are not relevant to the current client or asset. The following table summarizes the commands that are available.

File Add a new client.
Open an existing client.
Modify general information for the active client.
Close, save, rename, or delete clients.
Print forms or reports.
Print reports for the current asset.
Back up or restore client data.
Send client data files through email or to a file.
Advance the current client or multiple clients to the next depreciation period.
Edit Add, modify, or divide assets.
Cut, copy, and paste assets.
Cut, copy, and paste treatments.
Add, delete, and open component asset information for an aggregate asset.
Search for an asset by name.
Reassign assets.
Reassign images.
Delete overrides.
Undo asset changes.
Renumber assets.
Access calculator.
Add or modify client notes.
Access or manage links to external client resources.
Tasks Handle supplemental depreciation calculations.
Calculate depreciation for all assets.
Display the current-period or prior-period calculation for the current asset.
Specify use of the mid-quarter convention.
Record mass dispositions.
Record mass transfers.
Specify / invoke information for section 280F recapture for listed property with business use that has fallen below 50%.
Record vehicle data.
Update Profiles from Template.
Display summary information.
Display journal entries.
Enter the maximum section 179 expense allowed.
Display prior-year data for the current asset.
Enter the investment credit recapture.
Enter the Hawaii excise tax credit recapture.
Designate an asset as real property.
Display the section 179 summary.
Enter the maximum start-up/org expense allowed.
Generate the AMT, E&P, ACE, or Current columns.
