Standard inventory worksheets (Inventory module)

Alerts and notices

Note: The Fixed Assets Inventory module is licensed separately from Fixed Assets CS.

Inventory worksheets and reports, which you can print, are designed to help you conduct the physical inventory of fixed assets and reconcile the physical inventory back to the Inventory asset list. The standard worksheets in the following list pertain to the open client.

Note: Each report includes all assets by default, but you can modify reports to include only certain assets.

  • New Asset Worksheet: Use this worksheet to document new assets that were found during the physical inventory.
  • Asset Detail Worksheet: For assets that are already in Fixed Assets CS, this worksheet is used to record the inventory status (Found, Disposed, Checked out, or Missing) and any changes that have been made to the fields that are included in the inventory. The method of disposal is also recorded, when applicable. If the asset contains an image for which the Display in inventory report checkbox (in the Image tab) has been marked, the image will print on this worksheet.
  • Sale Worksheet: Use this worksheet to document disposal information for an asset that was sold or disposed of by casualty/theft with no replacement.
  • Trade Worksheet: Use this worksheet to document disposal information for an asset that was traded or disposed of by casualty/theft where a replacement asset was acquired.

Internal notes

Support: The separate license needed to access the Inventory Module is named DINVNAME.DAT.

  • You first need to verify if the firm is licensed for the Inventory module in Flash or EMS. If they are, have the user download their licenses. If the firm encounters issues downloading their licenses, you can download the firm's license, rename their DWNAME.DAT to DINVNAME.DAT, and then email the license file you created to the firm.

Never walk an external user through renaming their DWNAME.DAT license. This is to be completed internally only if a firm is having problems with downloading their licenses.

  • If the firm is not licensed for the Inventory module, you will need to submit an EMS Help Desk ticket so that the license can be made available to the firm through CS Connect. If the firm does not license the Inventory Module and is interested in doing so please transfer the user to Sales (x751363).
