You can extend the due date for multiple deliverables at once using any FirmFlow Report by Deliverable.

Note: To use this feature you must have Extend permissions enabled in FirmFlow workflow-level permissions.

For example, to extend all Federal 1040 deliverables that have not yet been completed for which the current due date is 4/15, you would follow these steps.

  1. Navigate to Reports > FirmFlow Reports > Options > Standard Reports > Due Date (By Deliverable).
  2. Select your Service Type. For Current Step, select INCOMPLETE. For Current Due Date, enter 4/15/YYYY. For Deliverables, select your 1040 Deliverable.

Note: Add additional filters as needed.

  3. Click Search
  4. Use the Group By option to organize by column headers as needed.
  5. Mark checkboxes for the deliverables that you want to extend, right-click in the search results list, and choose Extend Deliverables from the context menu.

Details on the commands in this context menu are as follows.

    • Extend Deliverables - Extends the current due date of your deliverable and changes Extended (Y/N) to Yes within FirmFlow Reports.
    • Add Extension Flag - Will not extend the current due date of your deliverable; however, choosing this command will change Extended (Y/N) to Yes within FirmFlow Reports.
    • Remove Extension Flag Will not unextend the current due date of your deliverable; however, choosing this command will change Extended (Y/N) to No within FirmFlow Reports.

Note: The Extension Flag setting allows a Manager to indicate that a deliverable should be extended without actually changing the due date. This allows you to run a report for all deliverables where Extended (Y/N) = Yes, but the current due date continues to match the original due date. When the deliverable is extended, the user who extends the deliverable can then choose to extend the deliverable and update the current due date.
